Max Blonde graduated from Portland State University in 2000 with a BA
in theatre arts. The next year he and John Duncan co-produced the
first play at the West End Theatre in Portland,
“Master
Harold .
. . and the boys.” During the next year Max worked on a
number
of plays and films in the Portland area and performed improv comedy
with Star Can’t Dead. In 2002 he left for Los Angeles to work in
the film and television industry.
Max returned briefly from LA in 2007 to
appear in Twilight
Repertory’s (then the New Group Theatre Company) first production,
Extremities,
in which he played therapist Raoul.
Max finally left LA for good in 2008 and
returned to join Twilight
Repertory, playing the parts of Mr. Hardcastle in
She
Stoops To
Conquer and Nicola in
Arms
and the Man.
Max is technical director for Twilight
Repertory, in charge of set
and lighting design and any special effects which may or may not
work.
